{"id":15306,"date":"2014-09-03T17:55:47","date_gmt":"2014-09-03T16:55:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/?p=15306"},"modified":"2014-09-03T17:57:18","modified_gmt":"2014-09-03T16:57:18","slug":"street-signs-shopfronts-and-graffiti-seen-around-beacon-dutchess-county-new-york","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/street-signs-shopfronts-and-graffiti-seen-around-beacon-dutchess-county-new-york\/","title":{"rendered":"Street signs, shopfronts and graffiti seen around  Beacon, Dutchess County, New York"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/street-signs-graffiti-beacon-ny-01.jpg\" alt=\"Street signs and graffiti seen around  Beacon, Dutchess County, New York, Summer 2014\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Now being described as &#8216;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2011\/08\/07\/nyregion\/hudson-river-valley-draws-brooklynites.html\" target=\"_blank\">Williamsburg on the Hudson<\/a>,&#8217; the small town of Beacon in the\u00a0<span style=\"color: #1a1a1a;\">post-industrial Hudson Valley has seen big changes in recently years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Many of those changes are in stark contrast to when I <a href=\"http:\/\/www.urban75.org\/photos\/newyork\/beacon-new-york.html\" target=\"_blank\">first visited back in November 2005<\/a>.
