rough,\u00a0tatty, tumbledown and full of history, it&#8217;s everything a good rock and roll venue should be.<\/p>\n<p>Back in May this year, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/petition-launched-to-save-the-12-bar-club-and-londons-tin-pan-alley-from-developers\/\" target=\"_blank\">a petition was launched<\/a> to save the venue, but even with over 17,000 signatures that wasn&#8217;t enough to hold off the developers that are killing off anything that can&#8217;t be sold for profit.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/anti-folk-12-bar-london-02.jpg\" alt=\"Fat White Family headline the Antifolk Festival at Soho's fabulous 12 Bar venue, Saturday 16th November 2013\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Earlier today, the 12 Bar posted this up on their Facebook page:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>We are very sad to announce that The 12 Bar Club has been given notice to vacate Denmark Street by the middle of January.<\/p>\n<p>The 12 Bar Club will live on<\/p>\n<p>We will announce details of our new location shortly<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/anti-folk-12-bar-london-27.jpg\" alt=\"Fat White Family headline the Antifolk Festival at Soho's fabulous 12 Bar venue, Saturday 16th November 2013\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve had some<a href=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/fat-white-family-headline-the-antifolk-festival-at-sohos-fabulous-12-bar-venue\/\" target=\"_blank\"> fantastic nights<\/a> at the 12\u00a0Bar, and I wish them all the best in finding another venue.<\/p>\n<p>London&#8217;s music scene will be all the worse without the place.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>And so another wonderful chunk of Soho&#8217;s rich musical history is set to disappear forever, with the news that the legendary 12 Bar Club in Denmark Street in central London &hellip;
