{"id":1603,"date":"2010-05-13T01:47:16","date_gmt":"2010-05-13T00:47:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/?p=1603"},"modified":"2010-05-15T21:35:36","modified_gmt":"2010-05-15T20:35:36","slug":"cardiff-city-beat-leicester-were-in-the-championship-play-off-final","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/cardiff-city-beat-leicester-were-in-the-championship-play-off-final\/","title":{"rendered":"Cardiff City beat Leicester &#8211; we&#8217;re in the Championship play-off final!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.urban75.org\/cardiff\/images\/cardiff-leicester-playoff.jpg\" alt=\"Cardiff City beat Leicester - we're in the Championship play-off final!\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Man, this was an incredible game.<\/p>\n<p>I watched in the Brixton Hootenanny and it was a mighty strange place to watch such a vital match.<\/p>\n<p>The Fulham game was on the other screen right next to us (with, I&#8217;ll have to admit, a rather larger crowd), and there were people playing pool in front of the screen showing the Cardiff game.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Providing the musical accompaniment -at some considerable volume &#8211;  was about 15 African drummers on the stage behind us, while I find myself in amongst a small nest of Leicester fans. Well, only one true Leicester fan and he was a lovely bloke.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.urban75.org\/cardiff\/images\/cardiff-leicester-playoff-1.jpg\" alt=\"Cardiff City beat Leicester - we're in the Championship play-off final!\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The game was hideously, horribly, painfully close but Cardiff triumphed and I got very drunk.
