Beginning with gentle scenes of nature, the sequence of works gradually introduces darker elements, subtly implying the uncertainty of what lies around the bend.<\/p>\n<p>Hung at varying heights along the dramatic 90-metre span of the space, these delicate, jewel-like paintings lure the visitor in, demanding an altogether different kind of looking.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/imran-quereshi-barbican-curve-04.jpg\" alt=\"Imran Qureshi - Where the Shadows are so Deep at the The Curve, Barbican Centre, London, June 2016\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m afraid the installation didn&#8217;t work for me at all, but perhaps others will get more from it.<\/p>\n<p>The artist\u00a0Qureshi explains his work:<\/p>\n<div class=\"jetpack-video-wrapper\"><span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center;
