Here&#8217;s some photos from my trip:<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/berlin-photos-dec-2017-02.jpg\" alt=\"Berlin photos - station, stickers, squats and gentrification\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Opened in May 2006 and located on the site of the historic Lehrter Bahnhof station, Berlin Hauptbahnhof is the main railway station in Berlin. [<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Berlin_Hauptbahnhof\" target=\"_blank\">&#8212;<\/a>]<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/berlin-photos-dec-2017-03.jpg\" alt=\"Berlin photos - station, stickers, squats and gentrification\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The station is on multiple levels, with the upper level providing\u00a0six tracks.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/berlin-photos-dec-2017-04.jpg\" alt=\"Berlin photos - station, stickers, squats and gentrification\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/berlin-photos-dec-2017-17.jpg\" alt=\"Berlin photos - station, stickers, squats and gentrification\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Berlin has been hit hard by gentrification, with the eviction of squatters <a href=\"http:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/news\/world\/europe\/berlin-riots-anti-gentrification-protest-germany-violence-police-officers-injured-a7131106.html\" target=\"_blank\">sparking violent demonstrations<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/berlin-photos-dec-2017-24.jpg\" alt=\"Berlin photos - station, stickers, squats and gentrification\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The long-standing squat on Linienstrasse remains.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/berlin-photos-dec-2017-27.jpg\" alt=\"Berlin photos - station, stickers, squats and gentrification\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Constructed between 1965 and 1969 by the administration of the German Democratic Republic (GDR), it is the tallest structure in Germany, and the second tallest structure in the European Union at 368 metres high (including antenna).<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/berlin-photos-dec-2017-30.jpg\" alt=\"Berlin photos -
