and chantin&#8217; their way around Soho Square in central London for decades, but back in the day the Hari Krishna gang were all about drums and tambourines.<\/p>\n<p>But, like Bob Dylan in 1965, these guys have now gone electric, strutting their way through the park with amplification in tow.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/krishna-soho-london-02.jpg\" alt=\"London Soho Square, The Hari Krishna guys go electric, May 2017\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Note, if you will, the vocal mic and the bass guitarist giving it a full on <em>meeeetaaaal<\/em> pose in the background.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/krishna-soho-london-03.jpg\" alt=\"London Soho Square, The Hari Krishna guys go electric, May 2017\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Percussion was taken care of by the fella with the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mridangam\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mridangam drum<\/a> and the bloke on the wee cymbals.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/krishna-soho-london-04.jpg\" alt=\"London Soho Square, The Hari Krishna guys go electric, May 2017\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>They happily posed for my pictures before heading off to Oxford Circus.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/krishna-soho-london-05.jpg\" alt=\"London Soho Square, The Hari Krishna guys go electric, May 2017\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The musicians most likely come from the nearby <a href=\"http:\/\/www.iskcon-london.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) temple<\/a>, which has been in Soho Street since 1969.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a blissed out video documenting the temple&#8217;s recent refurbishment:<\/p>\n<div class=\"jetpack-video-wrapper\"><span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center;
