Today has not been a good day.<\/p>\n

I was supposed to be flying off to Amsterdam for a fun packed couple of days, but with EasyJet cancelling the flight at the last minute, all I was left with was an unwanted daytrip to Luton Airport.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

\"My<\/p>\n

Luton Airport Parkway is not a pretty station.<\/p>\n

It’s equipped with a salvo of slow moving escalators that take an age to grind their way to the platform level, with lots of confusing signage designed to make the task of GTFO of Luton even more difficult.<\/p>\n

Once you’ve made your way to the platform, there’s little protection from the elements (thanks to the\u00a0station’s parsimonious facilities) so passengers all huddled by the footbridge exit to avoid the sleety-snow.<\/p>\n

\"My<\/p>\n

There was a brief moment of excitement as the bloke on the far right realised he was on the wrong platform for the St Pancras train.<\/p>\n

Risking life and limb, he sped off along the icy platform in the hope of getting on the train seen entering the station on the left.<\/p>\n

Here’s a vista to crush the soul.<\/p>\n

Snowy platforms.<\/p>\n

\"My<\/p>\n

Luton Airport Parkway was opened in 1999, specifically to serve Luton Airport.<\/p>\n

As if to tease me, an EasyJet plane flew past overhead.<\/p>\n

FUN FACT!<\/strong> I was once on the cover of Internet Magazine alongside EasyJet\u00a0founder Stelios Haji-Ioannou as one of the ’50 Most Important People On The Internet.’<\/p>\n
