lights and interactive installations around central London, January 2018\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The UK&#8217;s largest light festival, Lumiere is produced by the London-based creative company Artichoke, and\u00a0comprises of multiple standalone light art-installations across the capital.<\/p>\n<p>The festival also sees iconic buildings and locations illuminated and animated.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/lumiere-london-2018-02.jpg\" alt=\"In photos: Lumiere festival 2018 - lights and interactive installations around central London, January 2018\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s an awful lot to see, and we only managed to see around half of what was on show &#8211; and even then only made it on the last day so couldn&#8217;t go back to capture the rest.<\/p>\n<p>So here&#8217;s what we did manage to see, and some of it was very impressive indeed!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/lumiere-london-2018-03.jpg\" alt=\"In photos: Lumiere festival 2018 - lights and interactive installations around central London, January 2018\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Powered by cyclists, this wonderful installation at the Westminster Cathedral Piazza was called <em>The Rose<\/em> (by Mick Stephenson) and was made up from thousands of illuminated recycled plastic bottles.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/lumiere-london-2018-04.jpg\" alt=\"In photos: Lumiere festival 2018 - lights and interactive installations around central London, January 2018\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>My favourite was <em>The Light Of The Spirit<\/em> by\u00a0Patrice Warrener which &#8216;painted&#8217;\u00a0Westminster Abbey in striking vibrant colours, with animations bringing the building to life.<\/p>\n<p>It was quite beautiful.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/lumiere-london-2018-09.jpg\" alt=\"In photos: Lumiere festival 2018 -
