The land occupied by the development was part of the Port of Manchester and Manchester Docks. [<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/MediaCityUK\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8212;<\/a>]<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/manchester-media-city-bbc6-06.jpg\" alt=\"In photos: A trip to Manchester Media City - Marc Riley, Monochrome Set, Blue Peter Garden, and a dodgy lake, February 2018\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Before the recording session, I took a quick wander around MediaCity, with The Quays development including The Lowry Arts Centre and the Imperial War Museum North.<\/p>\n<p>Sadly, I didn&#8217;t get chance to check out either of those fine institutions.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/manchester-media-city-bbc6-07.jpg\" alt=\"In photos: A trip to Manchester Media City - It was a really friendly, professional and welcoming environment all round.
