{"id":1874,"date":"2010-06-24T10:00:35","date_gmt":"2010-06-24T09:00:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/?p=1874"},"modified":"2010-06-21T01:26:35","modified_gmt":"2010-06-21T00:26:35","slug":"west-end-photos-with-a-lumix-gf-1","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/west-end-photos-with-a-lumix-gf-1\/","title":{"rendered":"West End photos with a Lumix GF-1"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/west-end-london-june-2010-01.jpg\" alt=\"West End photos with a Lumix GF-1 \" \/><\/p>\n<p>After selling a few photos recently I was able to justify shelling out for a Lumix 14mm-45mm zooms lens for my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wirefresh.com\/panasonic-lumix-gf1-dslr-sends-us-wil-with-desire\/\">Panasonic Lumix GF-1<\/a> camera.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>In case you&#8217;re not familiar with the camera, the GF-1 uses the Micro Four Thirds system, offering near-dSLR quality images, removable lens and high end controls in a compact package considerably smaller than a regular SLR.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a great &#8216;bigger brother&#8217; to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wirefresh.com\/panasonic-lumix-lx3-1-best-high-end-compact-of-2009\/\">Lumix LX3 compact camera<\/a> &#8211; my favourite small digital snapper &#8211; and when used with the nifty 17mm &#8216;pancake&#8217; lens, is a great street shooting camera.<\/p>\n<p>In the above photo you can see the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.urban75.org\/london\/borders-charing-cross-closes.html\" target=\"_blank\">old Borders store<\/a> in Charing Cross Road, London, with the name of its previous owners, The Sun Electrical Co Ltd clearly visible.<\/p>\n<p>The store is set to reopen as a TK Maxx fashion shop.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/west-end-london-june-2010-02.jpg\" alt=\"West End photos with a Lumix GF-1 \" \/><\/p>\n<p>All the photos were blasted off in the camera&#8217;s excellent &#8216;iA&#8217; auto mode, with occasional exposure compensation tweaks.
