Inviting passers-by to “sample life on Mars ahead of the new major exhibition at the Design Museum,” the Mars Estate Agency Pop-Up proved rather a baffling concoction, with very little science on offer.<\/p>\n

Taking place in Great Windmill Street in Soho, the pop up was crammed into a tiny space, with the lion’s share being taken up by a heavily branded Campari bar.<\/p>\n

Of some interest was a couple of hydroponic kitchen units, but there was no explanation as to what was being grown or what their connection to a Mars mission may be.<\/p>\n

Finally, something space related!<\/p>\n

There was a table with a random selection of snacks and some kind of fashion thing wedged in the corner. It was all a bit disappointing, to be honest.<\/p>\n

Forthcoming exhibition<\/h2>\n

I’m hopeful that the Moving To Mars exhibition<\/a> opening at the Design Museum on the 18th October 2019 proves more satisfying.\u00a0Here’s the details:<\/p>\n
