I was last in Oxford in March last year, and posted up a comprehensive selection of 80 photos showing off the city’s architecture, fog, frozen canal, and church tower views.<\/a><\/p>\n

This time my visit was much shorter, so here’s a rather concise photographic celebration of my time at Oxford. Above is the place I grabbed some tasty chips at 2am on Saturday night!<\/p>\n

Visible from the train station, here’s some info about the Sa\u00efd Business School’s architecture, courtesy of Oxford Royale<\/a>:<\/p>\n

The design of the Sa\u00efd Business School is similarly knowing. The product of a \u00a370 million donation to the University of Oxford from Saudi-Syrian businessman Wafic Sa\u00efd, it consciously references the donor\u2019s heritage with a ziggurat (ultimately inspired by the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, in the Persian empire) but also the traditional design of an Oxford college or a medieval monastery, with a cloistered garden<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The Oxford University Press<\/a> (OUP) is the largest university press in the world, and the second oldest after Cambridge University Press.<\/p>\n

\"In<\/p>\n

After the show we repaired to the Four Candles pub. The name comes from a famous comedy sketch<\/a> by Ronnie Barker, who attended the City of Oxford High School for Boys in George Street.<\/p>\n
