It&#8217;s a lovely way to spend a couple of hours, with lots of items of interest along the journey.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a at King&#8217;s Cross, walking past the building work on Google&#8217;s mega-HQ and past <a href=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/kings-cross-coal-drop-yards-the-lighthouse-and-regents-canal-fifty-photos\/\">Coal Drop Yards<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" to pick out the towpath by Coal Drop Yards, and we then headed north-west towards Camden.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" href=\"https:\/\/www.timeout.com\/london\/blog\/this-is-why-londons-canals-have-turned-bright-green-090916\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Time Out<\/a> reported:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The duckweed itself isn&#8217;t harmful but as it gets thicker it can starve other wildlife in the canals of oxygen and trap litter which causes problems for boats, so the\u00a0Canal River Trust is working to remove it as quickly as they can.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In one week this year, they\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/canalrivertrust.org.uk\/news-and-views\/news\/hot-weather-causes-explosion-of-duck-weed-on-londons-canals\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">removed
