{"id":19816,"date":"2020-12-20T08:00:39","date_gmt":"2020-12-20T08:00:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/?p=19816"},"modified":"2021-05-31T14:58:33","modified_gmt":"2021-05-31T13:58:33","slug":"neon-art-against-a-december-sky-winter-light-at-the-southbank-centre-in-photos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/neon-art-against-a-december-sky-winter-light-at-the-southbank-centre-in-photos\/","title":{"rendered":"Neon art against a December sky: Winter Light at the Southbank Centre &#8211; in photos"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/southbank-christmas-2020-01.jpg\" alt=\"Winter Light at the Southbank Centre - in photos\" \/><\/p>\n<p>With London <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brixtonbuzz.com\/2020\/12\/brixton-moves-into-tier-4-whats-closing-what-you-can-do-and-where-you-can-go-sat-19th-dec-2020\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">crashing into Tier 4\u00a0 for Christmas<\/a>, we&#8217;ve never needed a bit of seasonal cheer more, and this light show by the Southbank Centre certainly managed to lift the spirits.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/southbank-christmas-2020-02.jpg\" alt=\"Winter Light at the Southbank Centre - in photos\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Part of the &#8216;Winter Light at the Southbank Centre&#8217; series, the lighting installations are the work of Liverpool artist David Ogle.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.southbankcentre.co.uk\/whats-on\/art-exhibitions\/winter-light?tab=artist\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">official website<\/a> says:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>David Ogle works with light as a sculptural material.
