{"id":20195,"date":"2021-11-15T07:00:15","date_gmt":"2021-11-15T07:00:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/?p=20195"},"modified":"2021-11-14T23:34:55","modified_gmt":"2021-11-14T23:34:55","slug":"lightfield-infinity-room-its-finally-worth-visiting-the-marble-arch-mound","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/lightfield-infinity-room-its-finally-worth-visiting-the-marble-arch-mound\/","title":{"rendered":"Lightfield infinity room &#8211; it&#8217;s finally worth visiting the Marble Arch Mound!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/marble-arch-mound-lightfield-01.jpg\" alt=\"Lightfield infinity room - it's finally worth visiting the Marble Arch Mound\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I visited the Marble Arch Mound in August this year, and found myself <a href=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/underwhelmed-by-the-mound-a-photographic-journey-up-londons-newest-tourist-attraction\/comment-page-1\/#comment-43346\">thoroughly underwhelmed by it<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Even as a free attraction there was little to recommend it, with the climb to the top being rewarded with some deeply unspectacular views.<\/p>\n<p>However, it&#8217;s now become a place I would definitely suggest putting on your\u00a0 to-do list, with the addition of an <span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">exhibition space below the Mound showcasing some <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">fantastic light sculptures.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/marble-arch-mound-lightfield-02.jpg\" alt=\"Lightfield infinity room - it's finally worth visiting the Marble Arch Mound\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Called <em>Lightfield<\/em>, the immersive installation by British sculptor Anthony James is a joy to interact with, with each illuminated box giving the impression of being infinitely tall,\u00a0 wide and deep.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>This is the first time Anthony James has created an infinity room with his artworks.
