It&#8217;s a fine independent live music venue bizarrely located at the end of a row of terraced houses in a suburban street.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/hull_at_night_04.jpg\" alt=\"In photos: late night drinking in the bars of Hull\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The first pub we encountered was The Admiral Of The Humber, a vast Wetherspoons boozer that was nearly empty when we arrived around 1am.<\/p>\n<p>The staff were lovely though so we bought them a shot and supped up our beers before they cleared the place at 1.30am.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/hull_at_night_03.jpg\" alt=\"In photos: late night drinking in the bars of Hull\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Thirsty for more beer, we stumbled into the King Edward, located right next door to the &#8216;Spoons.\u00a0 Admission was free and the drinks were fairly cheap.<\/p>\n<p>The place was full of some really pissed punters dancing to the DJs mainstream selection, while the security were kept busy politely escorting over-oiled drinkers out of the door.<\/p>\n<p>It was all a bit messy but fun.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/hull_at_night_05.jpg\" alt=\"In photos: late night drinking in the bars of Hull\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We finished up at the curiously named Hull Cheese bar which was looking fairly desperate around 3.15am.<\/p>\n<p>A lone bloke at the bar seemed to be drinking a whole jug of cocktails while the bored laptop DJ (that&#8217;s him below with the hi-vis jacket) was\u00a0 busy spending time texting on his phone or sitting down next to the radiator to warm up.\u00a0 The music was loud.<\/p>\n<p>Once again, the staff and security were really friendly.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/hull_at_night_08.jpg\" alt=\"In photos: late night drinking in the bars of Hull\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/hull_at_night_06.jpg\" alt=\"In photos: late night drinking in the bars of Hull\" \/><\/p>\n<p>For some, it was clearly time for bed,<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/hull_at_night_07.jpg\" alt=\"In photos: late night drinking in the bars of Hull\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Occasionally, the DJ would find a tune that would get the mini-dancefloor moving for a few minutes.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/hull_at_night_09.jpg\" alt=\"In photos: late night drinking in the bars of Hull\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/hull_at_night_10.jpg\" alt=\"In photos: late night drinking in the bars of Hull\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The final stop was Paragon Square Burgers, which was jam packed with hungry customers.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/hull_at_night_11.jpg\" alt=\"In photos: late night drinking in the bars of Hull\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/hull_at_night_12.jpg\" alt=\"In photos: late night drinking in the bars of Hull\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Despite it being early February, some people had no need for winter jackets.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/hull_at_night_13.jpg\" alt=\"In photos: late night drinking in the bars of Hull\" \/><\/p>\n<h4>Join the forum discussion<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.net\/forums\/threads\/hull-news-chat-opinions-recommendations.347409\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hull &#8211; news, chat, opinions, recommendations<\/a> (175 responses)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After my band had played a show at the excellent New Adelphi venue in Hull on Saturday night, we decided to hit the town for some post-gig drinking.
