became the headquarters of the world&#8217;s first regular public &#8216;high definition&#8217; television service, operated by the BBC.<\/p>\n<p>In April 1967, acid-guzzling hippies flocked to the \u00a0&#8220;14 Hour Technicolour Dream&#8221;
