Described by New York Times art critic Hilton Kramer as \u2018the most famous unknown photographer in America,\u2019 the first UK solo exhibition of Evelyn Hofer<\/a> is currently on display at The Photographers’ Gallery.<\/p>\n

On display until the 24th September 2023, you can view Hofer\u2019s characteristically considered, large-format portraits, landscapes, cityscapes, still lifes and domestic interiors, many of which demonstrate her preference for the complex colour dye transfer process.<\/p>\n
