We’re happy to tramp quite vast distances in our quest for great cafes and good coffee, and our trek out to the Bedford-Stuyvesant<\/a> area of Brooklyn was\u00a0rewarded by excellent beverages and some delicious hot bagels and cakes at the Bedford Hill Coffee Bar.<\/p>\n

Located at 343 Franklin Ave at Greene St, Brooklyn, NY 11238, the d\u00e9cor is calm and relaxing, with salvaged dark wooden doors reused as wall panels, subdued lighting and a rather natty floor pattern.<\/p>\n

The bathroom\/restroom\/comfort room (or whatever it is that Americans call the\u00a0toilet) was spotless – always\u00a0a good sign – and\u00a0Jonathan\u00a0Richman was\u00a0quietly\u00a0playing on the speakers, which is another sign of a quality\u00a0establishment\u00a0in my eyes.<\/p>\n

Most importantly, the coffee was great, the food tasty and the prices\u00a0reasonable\u00a0– and there was free Wi-Fi on tap too, so it’s a good place to get some work done or just fart about on Facebook for hours.<\/p>\n
