It seemed a crazy idea: host a new cabaret night on a pub’s quietest night of the week, and choose the last Tuesday of the month (when wage packets have run out) and do it the day after a Bank Holiday.<\/p>\n

So I was all prepared for a very intimate<\/span> audience at Prince Albert, Brixton, but the Cabaret Special turned out to be a heap of fun, with an ace hurdy gurdy band, top comedy\/poetry acts and a headliner that got the place rocking. And lots of people turned up!<\/p>\n
