First up, here&#8217;s a sweet seller in a bowler hat at Seven Dials, London WC2.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/stage-door-sweets-marquee-02.jpg\" alt=\"Stage doors, sweets and the old Marquee club, London\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Waiting by the stage door of the Cambridge Theatre, Earlham Street, WC2.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/stage-door-sweets-marquee-03.jpg\" alt=\"Stage doors, sweets and the old Marquee club, London\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The star arrives &#8211; and is swiftly engulfed!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/stage-door-sweets-marquee-04.jpg\" alt=\"Stage doors, sweets and the old Marquee club, London\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Working out at the famous\u00a0Pineapple\u00a0Dance Studios, Covent Garden.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/stage-door-sweets-marquee-05.jpg\" alt=\"Stage doors, sweets and the old Marquee club, London\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Montagu Pyke pub, 105 Charing Cross Road, London WC2.<\/p>\n<p>Now a bland pub with no redeeming features, this was the location for the legendary Marquee Club from 1988-1996 (the original one was at 165 Oxford Street until 1964,\u00a0before\u00a0moving to 90 Wardour Street where just about every major rock band over the next two decades played).<\/p>\n<p>I managed to play both the Wardour Street and Charing Cross Road venues, but thankfully, not the hideous incarnation at what is now the Islington Academy.<\/p>\n<p>[<a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Marquee_Club\" target=\"_blank\">Read more about the Marquee<\/a>]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Some evening photos taken around Covent Garden on my Lumix LX5 camera .
