look down the street and you can just make out the sloping roof of the Lutheran chapel (above the delivery cart).<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/windsor-walk-denmark-hill-10.jpg\" alt=\"Abandoned Victorian mansions, Windsor Walk, Denmark Hill SE5\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The buildings were looked after by\u00a0squatters\u00a0for several years before they were\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.camberwellonline.co.uk\/2006\/02\/i-dont-know-squat\/\" target=\"_blank\">thrown out into the streets<\/a> some time in February 2006, and since then these attractive Victorian homes have been left to slowly rot away.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/windsor-walk-denmark-hill-03.jpg\" alt=\"Abandoned Victorian mansions, Windsor Walk, Denmark Hill SE5\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/windsor-walk-denmark-hill-04.jpg\" alt=\"Abandoned Victorian mansions, Windsor Walk, Denmark Hill SE5\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Boasting solid Victorian\u00a0Italianate\u00a0architecture, these houses would have formed part of an affluent middle class neighbourhood.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/windsor-walk-denmark-hill-05.jpg\" alt=\"Abandoned Victorian mansions, Windsor Walk, Denmark Hill SE5\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Broken and boarded up\u00a0windows.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/windsor-walk-denmark-hill-06.jpg\" alt=\"Abandoned Victorian mansions, Windsor Walk, Denmark Hill SE5\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Parts of the buildings are open to the\u00a0elements, with\u00a0roof tiles missing and broken windows, with the guttering blocked with moss.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/windsor-walk-denmark-hill-07.jpg\" alt=\"Abandoned Victorian mansions, Windsor Walk, Denmark Hill SE5\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This early Victorian villa was clearly once a very\u00a0attractive\u00a0family\u00a0home.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/windsor-walk-denmark-hill-08.jpg\" alt=\"Abandoned Victorian mansions, Windsor Walk, Denmark Hill SE5\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A last look at the street.<\/p>\n<p>The removed hoarding panel to the left suggests that perhaps squatters have moved back in &#8211; let&#8217;s hope so, because without some care and attention, these fine buildings are surely heading for demolition to \u00a0be replaced by some bland \u00a0&#8211; but\u00a0no doubt\u00a0highly profitable &#8211;
