{"id":4020,"date":"2011-04-08T16:02:26","date_gmt":"2011-04-08T15:02:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/?p=4020"},"modified":"2011-04-08T16:02:26","modified_gmt":"2011-04-08T15:02:26","slug":"brixton-living-bar-coldharbour-lane-reopens","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/brixton-living-bar-coldharbour-lane-reopens\/","title":{"rendered":"Brixton Living Bar, Coldharbour Lane reopens"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/brixton-living-bar-reopens-01.jpg\" alt=\"Brixton Living Bar, Coldharbour Lane reopens\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Old school Brixtonites will remember it as the Coach and Horses &#8211; or even perhaps the IsoBar &#8211; but last night saw the long overdue opening of the Living Bar, 433\u00a0Coldharbour Lane SW9<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/brixton-living-bar-reopens-04.jpg\" alt=\"Brixton Living Bar, Coldharbour Lane reopens\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Last night&#8217;s bash was a bit of a &#8216;soft launch&#8217; &#8211; there&#8217;s still a\u00a0fair\u00a0bit of decorating to do and there was a very strong whiff of fresh paint in the air &#8211; but the bar is expected to open fully next week .<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/brixton-living-bar-reopens-02.jpg\" alt=\"Brixton Living Bar, Coldharbour Lane reopens\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The bar unexpectedly closed at the end of 2007 and apart from a short period <a href=\"http:\/\/www.urban75.org\/brixton\/bars\/coach-and-horses-living.html\" target=\"_blank\">where it was\u00a0ignominiously\u00a0used as a butchers shop<\/a> &#8211; has lain empty ever since.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/brixton-living-bar-reopens-03.jpg\" alt=\"Brixton Living Bar, Coldharbour Lane reopens\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The beers were free last night &#8211; always a good way for a new pub to introduce itself to the neighbours &#8211; and there&#8217;s two &#8216;guest list&#8217; nights coming up this weekend.<\/p>\n<p>When completed, the bar will be on two floors and be open till 4am on weekends.
