{"id":445,"date":"2007-03-05T23:58:00","date_gmt":"2007-03-05T23:58:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.urban75.org\/u75blog\/?p=445"},"modified":"2007-03-05T23:58:00","modified_gmt":"2007-03-05T23:58:00","slug":"a-saturday-stroll-from-pimlico-to-warren-st","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/a-saturday-stroll-from-pimlico-to-warren-st\/","title":{"rendered":"A Saturday stroll from Pimlico to Warren St"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.urban75.org\/london\/images\/london-march07-04.jpg\" alt=\"A Saturday stroll from Pimlico to Warren St, London\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Fighting off a hefty hangover, I elected to go for another of my random ambles around London, getting off at Pimlico and strolling towards the Thames.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.urban75.org\/london\/images\/london-march07-21.jpg\" alt=\"Tate Britain, London\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I stopped off a Tate Britain for a bit of art and then walked along the Thames heading east to Westminster.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.urban75.org\/london\/images\/houses-of-parliament-06.jpg\" alt=\"Houses of Parliament, London\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Took a look around the Houses of Parliament (it&#8217;s amazing how close you can still get to the building) before heading up Whitehall.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.urban75.org\/london\/images\/london-march07-28.jpg\" alt=\"Nelson's Column, Trafalgar Square, London\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I took a quick look around Trafalgar Square before heading up St Martin&#8217;s Lane and  grabbing lunch at the Photographer&#8217;s Gallery.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.urban75.org\/london\/images\/london-march07-31.jpg\" alt=\"London\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Suitably rejuvenated, I checked out some book stores on Charing Cross Road, did the electronics gizmo shuffle along Tottenham Court Road before catching the tube back to Brixton from Warren Street.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.urban75.org\/london\/images\/london-march07-43.jpg\" alt=\"Warren Street tube, London\" \/><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.urban75.org\/london\/london-march-07.html\">Pimlico to Parliament<\/a><br \/><a href=\"http:\/\/www.urban75.org\/london\/houses-of-parliament.html\">The Houses of Parliament<\/a><br \/><a href=\"http:\/\/www.urban75.org\/london\/london-march-07-2.html\">Downing Street to Warren Street<\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight:bold;\">Offline Club<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.urban75.org\/offline\/images\/albert-mar07-13.jpg\" alt=\"Offline club, London\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In the evening, there was more beer-action to be had with an Offline Club night at the Albert, Brixton.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.urban75.org\/offline\/images\/albert-mar07-06.jpg\" alt=\"Offline club, London\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There was a lunar eclipse that night, so lots of people stood outside the pub watching the Moon slowly turn a curious orange colour.
