Sheep book launch at the Horse Hospital, London\" \/><\/p>\n<p>To celebrate the publication of their first book, the folks from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.electricsheepmagazine.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">Electric Sheep Magazine<\/a> held a launch party at the Horse Hospital, Colonnade, Bloomsbury WC1.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/electric-sheep-book-launch-03.jpg\" alt=\"Electric Sheep book launch at the Horse Hospital, London\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Entitled, &#8216;The End: An Electric Sheep Anthology&#8217;, the book is an enthralling collection of previously unpublished essays on the &#8216;darker side of cinema&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/electric-sheep-book-launch-04.jpg\" alt=\"Electric Sheep book launch at the Horse Hospital, London\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The event kicked of with a panel discussion on apocalyptic cinema, and in attendance were writers and illustrators who had contributed to the book.<\/p>\n<p>These included Electric Sheep editor Virginie Selavy,\u00a0assistant editor Alex Fitch, writer and musician Frances Morgan, graphic artist and film writer Mark Stafford and Jim Harper, author of Flowers from Hell: The Modern Japanese Horror Film.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/electric-sheep-book-launch-05.jpg\" alt=\"Electric Sheep book launch at the Horse Hospital, London\" \/><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thehorsehospital.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Horse Hospital<\/a> is an arts venue catering for literary and spoken word events, underground film and avantgarde media screenings, and visual art exhibitions.<\/p>\n<p>Built in 1797 by James Burton (and possibly redeveloped sometime after 1860), the building originally served as a purpose-built stable, and was opened as an arts venue in 1993.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/electric-sheep-book-launch-06.jpg\" alt=\"Electric Sheep book launch at the Horse Hospital, London\"
