Yesterday, central Brixton was packed full of fire engines dealing with a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/brixton-footlocker-fire-smoulders-on-tube-station-and-shops-still-closed-photos\/\" target=\"_blank\">major incident at the Footlocker store<\/a> on Brixton Road.<\/p>\n<p>Although all the fire engines had left by lunchtime today, the area was still cordoned off and I noticed this tiny little engine by the blocked-off entrance to\u00a0Atlantic\u00a0Road.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s like the Fire Brigade have left a little friend behind to keep an eye on things!<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/brixton-footlocker-fire-19.jpg\" alt=\"Little fire engine keeps an eye on Atlantic Road, Brixton\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/brixton-footlocker-fire-21.jpg\" alt=\"Little fire engine keeps an eye on Atlantic Road, Brixton\" \/><\/p>\n<p>With the fire finally put out, the Footlocker building now looks a very sorry site, and I don&#8217;t expect it will be reopening for a very, very long time.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/brixton-footlocker-fire-20.jpg\" alt=\"Little fire engine keeps an eye on Atlantic Road, Brixton\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Even the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/brixtons-riot-love-wall-fails-to-engage-locals\/\">&#8216;love wall<\/a>&#8216; has suffered damage, with the words &#8216;Brixton&#8217; and &#8216;One Love&#8217; more or less\u00a0vanishing\u00a0from the hoardings.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is so cute!
