Scroll on for my photo tour!<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/kew-gardens-london-19.jpg\" alt=\"Photos of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew Gardens, west London, England, August 2011\" width=\"580\" height=\"398\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On the site can be found gardens, green spaces, botanical glasshouses, cafes and a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/kew-gardens-treetop-walkway-wobbly-but-fun\/\">fab treetop walk<\/a>, as well as a library containing more than 750,000 volumes.<\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s no less than four Grade I listed buildings and 36 Grade II listed structures to be found around the site, with the gardens being placed on the list of World Heritage Sites by UNESCO in 2003.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-style: initial; (curiously\u00a0the only museum on the site), which was designed by\u00a0Decimus Burton\u00a0and opened in 1857.<\/p>\n<p>Inside can be found Kew&#8217;s economic botany collections including tools, ornaments, clothing, food and medicines.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"#top\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-style: initial; border-color: initial; border-width: 0px;\" src=\"http:\/\/www.urban75.org\/images\/topbx.gif\" alt=\"top\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-style: initial; border-color: initial; border-width: 0px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/kew-gardens-london-06.jpg\" alt=\"Photos of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew Gardens, west London, August 2011\" width=\"580\" height=\"384\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Built between 1844 and 1848, the Palm House is a stunning building created from\u00a0wrought iron arches, prestressed cables\u00a0and\u00a0glass panes.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border-style: initial;
