{"id":5079,"date":"2011-09-15T10:30:05","date_gmt":"2011-09-15T09:30:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/?p=5079"},"modified":"2011-09-15T10:25:25","modified_gmt":"2011-09-15T09:25:25","slug":"the-shard-comes-under-close-scrutiny-from-southwark-cathedral","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/the-shard-comes-under-close-scrutiny-from-southwark-cathedral\/","title":{"rendered":"The Shard comes under close scrutiny from Southwark Cathedral"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" style=\"margin-left: 6px; margin-right: 2px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/the-shard-nears-completion-01.jpg\" alt=\"The Shard comes under close scrutiny from London Bridge \" width=\"150\" height=\"214\" \/>I&#8217;ve been watching the slow but steady rise of The Shard with keen interest, first documenting the skyscraper when I caught glimpse of its central core <a href=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/the-shard-rises-iconic-london-skyscraper-underway\/\" target=\"_blank\">rising over London Bridge in September 2010<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Since then, I&#8217;ve photographed the tower from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/the-shard-rises-iconic-london-skyscraper-underway\/\" target=\"_blank\">both close up and as far away as Nunhead<\/a>\u00a0and captured some of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/the-london-shard-at-london-bridge-london-se1-continues-to-soars\/\" target=\"_blank\">construction\u00a0work close up<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The expert speaks<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I was even\u00a0interviewed\u00a0on BBC News about The Shard, and proved good value when I\u00a0channelled\u00a0all my vast architectural expertise\u00a0to inform the watching public that the tallest skyscraper in Europe will in fact prove to be &#8220;a landmark.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>If any other parties need the bleedin&#8217; obvious stated on TV, please contact my agent through the usual channels.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Anyway, back to The Shard.
