{"id":5266,"date":"2011-10-13T22:15:04","date_gmt":"2011-10-13T21:15:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/?p=5266"},"modified":"2011-10-13T22:15:57","modified_gmt":"2011-10-13T21:15:57","slug":"brixton-autumnal-sunset-over-coldharbour-lane","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/brixton-autumnal-sunset-over-coldharbour-lane\/","title":{"rendered":"Brixton &#8211; autumnal sunset over Coldharbour Lane"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/brixton-sunset-13-oct-2011.jpg\" alt=\"Brixton - autumnal sunset over Coldharbour Lane\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;ve got to love a good Brixton sunset, and this autumnal one wasn&#8217;t bad at all.<\/p>\n<p>Taken from the lofty heights of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/the-singular-beauty-of-southwyck-house-aka-the-brixton-barrier-block\/\">Barrier Block,<\/a> in the foreground you can see the horrible <a href=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/cowboys-ahoy-shoddy-workmanship-on-coldharbour-lane-brixton\/\">Valeting Centre<\/a> that currently occupies the site of the old Texaco garage &#8211; if only they&#8217;d carry the green space in front of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/the-singular-beauty-of-southwyck-house-aka-the-brixton-barrier-block\/\">Southwyck House<\/a>\u00a0over this eyesore!<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/brixton-sunset-13-oct-2011-1.jpg\" alt=\"Brixton - autumnal sunset over Coldharbour Lane\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Behind the row of shops can be seen\u00a0the illuminated railway arches and the bridge over Valentia Place.<\/p>\n<p>If the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.urban75.org\/brixton\/features\/barrier1.html\" target=\"_blank\">crazy road plans of the 1970s had come to\u00a0fruition<\/a>, this scene would have been\u00a0dominated\u00a0by a bleeding almighty elevated motorway.
