Brady&#8217;s \u00a0bar (formerly the Railway Hotel) in Atlantic Road, SW9 has been\u00a0sold off to Mayfair-based &#8216;property consultants.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/bradys-brixton-pub-01.jpg\" alt=\"So, it's goodbye to Brady's one of Brixton's legendary boozers\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Famed for its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/pic-of-the-day-bradys-clock-tower-brixton\/\" target=\"_blank\">distinctive six sided clock tower<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.urban75.org\/brixton\/features\/bradys.html\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Brady&#8217;s<\/a>\u00a0was closed down in the late 1990s and has remained derelict since squatters were evicted in 2002.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/bradys-clock-tower-brixton.jpg\" alt=\"Pic of the day: Brady's clock tower, Brixton\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Despite\u00a0a\u00a0concerted\u00a0campaign by locals to reopen the premises as a community resource, big money won out and it&#8217;s now been scooped up by property\u00a0developers\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.jenkinslaw.co.uk\/property.php\" target=\"_blank\">Jenkins Law<\/a> and offered up for rent at \u00a385,000 per annum.<\/p>\n<p>The ABCBrixton website that was set up to campaign for the reopening of this fine old pub has now vanished off the web too, with the server now riddled with viruses.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\"
