{"id":562,"date":"2006-06-17T13:54:00","date_gmt":"2006-06-17T13:54:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.urban75.org\/u75blog\/?p=562"},"modified":"2006-06-17T13:54:00","modified_gmt":"2006-06-17T13:54:00","slug":"562","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/562\/","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Cycing through the city<\/b><br \/>Up early to pedal into town on a glorious sunny morning.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.urban75.org\/london\/images\/biennale-sheep-03.jpg\" title=\"Sheep drive from Borough Market over the Millennium Bridge to Smithfield Market, 17th June 2006 \" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Cycled to the Wobbly Bridge to see the last of the sheep being herded over the bridge as part of the biennale I&#8217;m still not quite sure what the connection with architecture is here).<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.urban75.org\/london\/images\/biennale-sheep-09.jpg\" title=\"Sheep drive from Borough Market over the Millennium Bridge to Smithfield Market, 17th June 2006\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Zipped across Blackfriars Bridge to watch the sheep being shpeherded into Paternoster Square, while some rather bizarre shouts could be heard from (presumably) animal rights protesters: &#8220;it&#8217;s hot!&#8221; &#8220;they&#8217;re wooly.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>More photos here: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.urban75.org\/london\/biennale-sheep.html\" target=\"_blank\"> Sheep drive through London<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Pedalled eastwards on my trusty Dahon folding bike to take some pics of the Swiss Re building (aka the Swiss Gherkin) and the shiny shiny Lloyds building.<\/p>\n<p>Then on to Brick Lane where I bumped into old urban75 contributor and Year Zero editor Adam Porter and his lovely partner.<\/p>\n<p>Walked on to grab some pics of the now-closed Shoreditch tube station and then delivered some patting and stroking action to the super friendly goats at the Shoreditch City Farm.<\/p>\n<p>Got hissed at by a gaggle of stroppy geese before watching an impressive fly by of sundry military jets, thundering towards Buckingham Palace (not to bomb it sadly, but as part of the Queen&#8217;s birthday).<\/p>\n<p>Cycled back into town and grabbed lunch at the  Photographer&#8217;s Gallery.<\/p>\n<p> Next stop: Brockwell Park for a picnic.
