{"id":570,"date":"2006-05-27T19:48:00","date_gmt":"2006-05-27T19:48:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.urban75.org\/u75blog\/?p=570"},"modified":"2006-05-27T19:48:00","modified_gmt":"2006-05-27T19:48:00","slug":"trafalgar-square-washout","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/trafalgar-square-washout\/","title":{"rendered":"Trafalgar Square washout"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/traf-sq.jpg\" title=\"Trafalgar Square, London\" border=\"0\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You had to feel sorry for these guys. <\/p>\n<p>They put on a big free music event in the centre of London and then the weather pisses down relentlessly all day long.<\/p>\n<p>A few umbrella-clutching hardy souls huddled together to watch some wet performers put up a spirited performance, but the square was never going to rock today.<\/p>\n<p>All around the perimeter could be seen the long faces of the bored owners of punter-untroubled stalls, who clearly wished they were elsewhere.<\/p>\n<p>We did our best to lend some support, but after ten minutes in the rain, we headed off to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.urban75.org\/london\/photographers-gallery.html\" target=\"_blank\">Photographers&#8217; Gallery<\/a> for a nice cuppa and a slice of the excellent, home baked banana cake.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>You had to feel sorry for these guys.
