{"id":65,"date":"2009-09-21T23:25:00","date_gmt":"2009-09-21T23:25:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.urban75.org\/u75blog\/?p=65"},"modified":"2009-09-21T23:25:00","modified_gmt":"2009-09-21T23:25:00","slug":"my-exciting-day-as-a-movie-extra-on-blitz","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/my-exciting-day-as-a-movie-extra-on-blitz\/","title":{"rendered":"My exciting day as a movie extra on &#8216;Blitz&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today, I spent the day employed on a film set near Smithfield Market, central London.<\/p>\n<p>My day mainly involved me standing in street, drinking coffee, chatting to other extras and watching the film crew milling about. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/blitz-film-extra.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Some hours later I was assigned a &#8216;walking down the street&#8217; part, which involved being a silhouetted blob moving in front of a couple who were eating in a restaurant.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/blitz-film-extra-1.jpg\" \/>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I shuffled around in front of the camera a few times more. At one point my role was reduced to being just a reflection in the window, but things were livened up by the director having a fabulous headphone throwing hissy fit.<\/p>\n<p>The film is called &#8216;Blitz&#8217; and it features Jason Statham playing an &#8220;aggro cop.&#8221; I doubt if I can be arsed to see it when it comes out, but look out for a be-dreaded reflection in the window of the restaurant scene.<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;ll be me!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today, I spent the day employed on a film set near Smithfield Market, central London.
