\/><\/p>\n<p>This Old Town pub gets its name from the slang term &#8216;snack&#8217; for an old fishing boat that apparently, &#8220;sneaks through the water like a snake.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.urban75.org\/pics\/leigh-on-sea-june2026-08.jpg\" alt=\"Leigh On Sea in photos: the folk festival and views around the town\" \/><\/p>\n<p>On the left can be seen old the Leigh-on-Sea railway station building which opened on July 1, 1855, and is now used by sailing club.<\/p>\n<p>The original station closed in 1934 and was replaced by a modern station some 880 in multiple venues across the town, with the focus being Leigh Library Gardens, where there were multiple stages, a bar and stalls.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\"
