{"id":692,"date":"2005-04-06T23:19:00","date_gmt":"2005-04-06T23:19:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.urban75.org\/u75blog\/?p=692"},"modified":"2005-04-06T23:19:00","modified_gmt":"2005-04-06T23:19:00","slug":"692","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/692\/","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Offline rocks!<\/b><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.urban75.org\/offline\/images\/offline14_29.jpg\" title=\"Offline at Brixton Dogstar\" width=\"350\" border=\"0\" \/><br \/>Thursday&#8217;s Offline was the best ever, with an enormous turn out leading to queues at the door by 10pm!<\/p>\n<p>The acoustic acts were excellent &#8211; I particularly enjoyed  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.katycarr.com\" target=\"_blank\">Katy Carr<\/a> and &#8216;The Yodelling Fella&#8217; and I ended up DJing to a full on mosh pit of a crowd: I was under mighty big pressure in the DJ booth, but slapping on &#8216;Common People&#8217; (Pulp) followed by Radio 4 and LCD Soundsystems seemed to do the trick!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.urban75.org\/offline\/images\/offline14_45.jpg\" title=\"Offline at Brixton Dogstar\" width=\"350\" border=\"0\" \/><br \/>Dubversion&#8217;s closing 1940&#8217;s big band set went down a storm too. I have some vague recollection of indulging in some drunken rug-cutting at this point.<\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s loads of photos from the night in the all-new, updated and redesigned <a href=\"http:\/\/www.urban75.org\/offline\/\" target=\"_blank\">Offline web site<\/a><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.urban75.org\/london\/images\/velo15.jpg\" title=\"Herne Hill velodrome\" width=\"350\" border=\"0\" \/><br \/>Elsewhere, I&#8217;ve added a new section about the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.urban75.org\/london\/velodrome.html\" target=\"_blank\">Herne Hill velodrome<\/a>, one of the few remaining purpose built Victorian sports stadiums in London, sadly now under threat from wanker developers.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Offline rocks!
