Bugger off! (the site&#8217;s too busy)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>People! Bugger off!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Well, I don&#8217;t mean you, dear blog reader, but it has to be said that this site is becoming a victim of its own success.<\/p>\n<p>Right now, there&#8217;s 300 people on the bulletin boards and I can almost hear the server creaking and groaning from the strain &#8211; and it&#8217;s situated in Germany!<\/p>\n<p>The irony is that the site&#8217;s non-profit, no-adverts philosophy continues to attract more people &#8211; and as the bandwidth soars every-skywards, it&#8217;s becoming more difficult to keep it free.<\/p>\n<p>The site relies on the generosity of our web hosts, but I fear their kindness is becoming strained with each pleading email from me saying: &#8220;the site&#8217;s bombed again because of the traffic! can you help?!!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Fingers crossed for the future&#8230;.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>People!
