Shooting up in to the central London sky is the\u00a0St George Wharf Tower<\/a>, soon to be the\u00a0tallest residential building in the UK.<\/p>\n

The skyscraper is due to be completed in 2014, when it will stand 181 metres (594 ft) tall and offer 49 storeys, topped by a wind turbine which I trust will work better than the rarely spinning ones at the Strata Tower<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Update 16th January 2013: \u00a0helicopter hits crane on top of the tower.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Two people were killed and 12 injured when a helicopter crashed into the crane at 8am on the 16th January.<\/p>\n

The helicopter hit the tower in low\u00a0visibility, with burning debris hitting cars and buildings below.<\/p>\n
