{"id":8619,"date":"2012-06-01T12:00:37","date_gmt":"2012-06-01T11:00:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/?p=8619"},"modified":"2012-06-16T01:41:47","modified_gmt":"2012-06-16T00:41:47","slug":"brixton-and-stockwell-tube-stations-to-get-free-wi-fi-for-the-summer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/brixton-and-stockwell-tube-stations-to-get-free-wi-fi-for-the-summer\/","title":{"rendered":"Brixton and Stockwell tube stations to get free wi-fi for the summer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/images\/brixton-tube-station-2000-07.jpg\" alt=\"Brixton tube station back in the day - Travelcard hustlers and Special Brew cheerleaders\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Both Brixton and Stockwell tube stations will be getting free wi-fi connections the summer, thanks to a deal with Virgin Media\u00a0which\u00a0will see a total of 80 London Underground\u00a0tube platforms hooked up by the end of July.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Compulsive status updaters and Facebook fiends will be able to post at will while waiting for trains at the two stations, although they&#8217;ll only be able to take advantage of the connection when they&#8217;re within range of the platform base platforms &#8211; there\u2019s no wi-fi on the actual trains.<\/p>\n<p>The freebie is only a limited, summer-only offer though.
