{"id":880,"date":"2004-02-12T15:59:00","date_gmt":"2004-02-12T15:59:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.urban75.org\/u75blog\/?p=880"},"modified":"2010-05-17T23:21:16","modified_gmt":"2010-05-17T22:21:16","slug":"880","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.urban75.org\/blog\/880\/","title":{"rendered":"Walking the streets of London"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Walking the streets of London<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Just spent a delightful few hours thumping the byways and alleyways of London town.<\/p>\n<p>I had a meeting near the Barbican and decided to take the rest of the day off.<\/p>\n<p>First, I checked out the fabulous <a href=\"http:\/\/www.museumoflondon.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">Museum of London <\/a> and wandered about as chuffed as Billy McChuffo amongst the recreated street of Victorian shopfronts.<\/p>\n<p>With my head suitably filled with culture, I decided to breath in London&#8217;s living history with an invigorating stroll into the West End, finally ending up with a frothy cup of the finest coffee in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.photonet.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\">Photographer&#8217;s Gallery<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I got into a conversation with the venerable <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ivorcutler.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ivor Cutler<\/a> (poet\/writer\/musician\/all-round-interesting-bloke) who told me that I&#8217;d managed to cheer him up (he&#8217;d bust up with his woman and seemed quite down at heel).<\/p>\n<p>Right, I&#8217;ve finished my coffee so it&#8217;s time to head home.
