Wednesday, January 09, 2008Sailors' Snug Harbor, Staten Island, NYC![]() When we were in New York last month, we took the free ferry out of Manhattan to Staten Island and braved an icy walk to visit the Sailors' Snug Harbor - an old institute for 'aged, decrepit and worn-out sailors.' ![]() The site - which was nearly flattened in the 60s - now serves as a Culture Centre, and is a fun place to visit. We had a fantastic meal in the cafe below.
