South London Mayday Collective
Mayday action planned in South London,

To highlight the absurdity of capitalism, slmc2001, a non-hierachical, autonomous group, are organising an action in the form of a game to tie in with the other Mayday Monopoly actions in London.

There are 3 teams - workers, politicians and fat cat capitalists. The workers create the assets of the system, the politicians and their heavies, the police, chase the workers to take the assets. The fat cats bribe the poltiticians to gain control of the assets.

Unlike capitalism which aims to concentrate power and assets in the hands of the fewest number, our game ends only after the “workers” have realised their own power, and linked together to push aside the politicians to retake the assets from the fat cats.

South London Mayday action against capitalism 12:00 - 14:00 Tuesday 1st May meet at Elephant and Castle on the roundabout. Plenty of time to get up to Oxford St for the 4pm action.

We are not just networking with other anti capitalist activists, but also getting the whole community involved. From pensioners fighting for a fair pension, to the Defend Council Housing campaign to school kids and teachers whose education has been privatised by Southwark council and sold off to WS Atkins, famed for being involved in the M11 amongst others...

Sound system, and after the action, a picnic. Bring food, your dogs on strings, drums, ideas, friends and family especially grand parents. Dress as a worker, a politician or a fat cat

All welcome. We would also like to hear from anyone else planning a public South London Mayday action so we can coordinate
