North Bridge

First opened in 1772, widened in 1876 and reconstructed in 1877, North Bridge spans the ravine between the New Town and the Old.

Sadly, it's been the scene of several suicides, prompting the Samaritans to install a hotline outside the former Scotsman building on the south approach.
