Photography and the web
1. Why use photography on your site?
Although a photo of your best mate's dribbling two year old may not be worth a thousand words to you, there's no denying the immense impact of photography, with the web proving an ideal medium to share and publish pictures.
With the advent of inexpensive film processing, cheap photo scanners and digital cameras, it's not unusual to find yourself the proud owner of hundreds of photos, most of which will either be hidden away in a drawer somewhere or gathering virtual dust on your hard drive.
This article aims to encourage you to get snapping and start sharing the results with the rest of the world and, who knows, your obscure photo collection of toe nail clippings may get you hailed as a post-modern photographic genius!
