Quick Friday update
Last night we trundled off to a barge by Vauxhall to see ‘Piney’ (lead singer from the Sha La Las) perform at the launch party of her solo album.
She’s a curious one. There’s no denying that she has a fantastic voice and real talent, but at times it seems that she tries too hard to be liked by over-playing the ‘little girl’ act.
When she just gets on with it, she’s capable of creating some fabulous music, but all that grinning and coy looks just gets in the way.
But hey! What do I know?! I’m sure she’ll do just fine without my critique!
