Brixton snaps: Grosvenor, Valencia Place and the Village

Brixton snaps: Valencia Place and the Village

Valentia Place is like a bit of time-warped 1950s Brixton, with its cobbled road surface breaking through the tarmac, knackered corrugated iron walls and railway arch.

The long delayed ‘luxury’ flats that encroach on the west side have taken a little of this short street’s ambience away, but it still feels like it’s from another age.

The road links Brixton Station Road with Coldharbour Lane, and has the Angel pub at its southern end, while a side road between the two railway viaducts is used for light industrial purpose (and the occasional party).
