I liked this photo of determined, all-weather chatters that I unearthed from my woefully disorganised photo archives.
It was taken on Tottenham Court Road in 2001 – when the street was still the place to go for electronics in London – and shows four people huddled under their umbrellas.
The internet has all but killed off the electronics trade along the road now, although a handful of the larger stores are still hanging on.
