Nov 2001 Juice Bar, Coldharbour Lane This short-lived cafe offered up a mix of food, poetry, books and beer. Not a bad mix, all things considered!

Jan 2002 Pangaea, Atlantic Road Formerly an excellent late night drinking den with live music, Pangaea was later to be replaced by the somewhat blander Brixton Bar and Grill.

June 2004 Fish and chip shop
This old chippie on 110, Effra Parade has been closed for several years - even though most of the frying equipment could still be seen inside in Nov 2005!

Sept 2002 Highly Bless, Coldharbour Lane
Sadly this fabulously named fast food store didn't last very long at all.

Nov 2000 John's cafe, Brixton Station Road The declining market trade along Brixton Station Road finally made its mark on Johns Café, and by the end of November 2000 it had served its last customer.
Interestingly, this is one of the few buildings to have survived the huge redevelopment along the north side of Station Road in the 1970s - you can just see it in this picture
