This was rather unexpected: travelling to Cardiff Central to get a train back to London last week,  I came across the sight of two gleaming steam engines ready to pull a train out of the station.

Powered by a B1 62306 Mayflower and Black 5 44871, the train was the Steam Dreams Excursion from London Paddington to Cardiff via Gloucester and return, and was organised by The West Coast Railway Company.
