
I’ve always loved visiting Brighton and have posted endless photo stories from my trips on this very blog.
I’d thought I’d take a dip into the past, so here’s 16 photos taken during a trip back in September 2001 – nearly a quarter of a century ago.

A couple look out to see. The resolution of these photos isn’t great as back then I was using a mighty 2.1 megapixel Sony Cybershot DSC-F55E camera.
Mind you, that was considered pretty impressive at the time as you can see from my glowing 1999 review in Internet Magazine.

A mixture of raging storms and two highly suspicious fires put paid to any hopes that the wonderful West Pier might be restored.
There’s barely anything left of the structure now.
