Described by New York Times art critic Hilton Kramer as ‘the most famous unknown photographer in America,’ the first UK solo exhibition of Evelyn Hofer is currently on display at The Photographers’ Gallery.
On display until the 24th September 2023, you can view Hofer’s characteristically considered, large-format portraits, landscapes, cityscapes, still lifes and domestic interiors, many of which demonstrate her preference for the complex colour dye transfer process.
